I'm sitting at my near broken computer- and it's not even a year old. But it's having a problem starting, so Ryan did a scan of it for me- and apparently I have a hard drive that is going bad. GREAT! The other computer we have is also broken- it will no longer turn on. Ryan thinks we must have had a lightening strike while we were out of town last week and it fried both of our computers. So after spending over an hour to get the computer to turn on, I'm currently backing up my internal hard drive to one of the the external hard drives- I have 3 external hard drives. One of them is also going bad. I'm not sure how or why, but when we scan that, it says it has errors on the surface. NUTS.
While I do this, Genna is standing behind me fixing my hair. It looks great. I will have to redo it before the cub scouts get here in an hour. I secretly hope no one shows up. But they usually do- one of them at least. We only have 4 total (including Myles). But now that school is out, no one should have tutoring and hopefully no baseball/football/ other sports practices.

I'm overwhelmed with the amount of STUFF on my desk and around my desk and near my desk that the kids want me to put in their scrapbooks. I am now over a year behind!! I just can't catch up. It's frustrating. Anyone want to come help me?

Camp was pretty good- the kids had a good time. I was crabby though- I don't like being cold and dirty and bug bitten. But when we get home we all say we had a good time and we will do it again next year. Although we are still doing laundry!
I'd post a picture if it was easy to do... but 1. I'd have to remember how. 2. I'd first have to get the pics off my camera, but my hard drive/computer is not cooperating at the moment, and 3. It'd take more time and effort than I'm willing to put into it at the moment (Genna is still fixing my hair -it's quite a process- She is doing it with one eye- the other is patched- 3 hrs a day for 12 weeks!- That's another story)

Genna has now pushed me off my chair, so I guess I'm done!

Hi those of you who read this

This post if for the few of you who read my blog. I'm just saying HI!! We planted our garden this week- it's looking sad. We started a few plants from seed in the house. But with one thing and another, I don't know if any of them will make it. Myles and Pierce helped me plant them- a few got stepped on, a few got dropped, a few had stuff dropped on them. They weren't that great looking to begin with either. Oh well. Then we planted a bunch more seeds- kind of late for seeds, But what can you do? I'm keeping my fingers crossed. We bought tomato seeds, but there's no way those will grow in time for anything- so we need to go find some plants. I have a bunch of herb seeds too- didn't plant them yet either. Ryan says I jump into these projects without much planning. I think the real problem is that I plan to do to much! There just isn't the time. and then I like to waste it surfing the net- checking email, looking at blogs, looking at srapbook stuff, looking at toys, movies, whatever the lastest item of interest is, etc. :)

More of the same

I have nothing interesting to say. I look at my blog every once in awhile and click on the links to everyone elses blogs and think theirs are much more interesting than mine! Today I am making a cake for Adria's B-day! 2 Years old already! The party is tomorrow. I'm not a very good party planner. We bought her a couple of presents, but Ryan gave them to her already!! So now she has nothing to unwrap for her party. Oh well. She really likes the little bike we got her. Tonight we are off the Grandma's house- I better go find the kids and get them all dressed, shoed, pottied, and ready to go- we have to leave in 30 mins. And yes, it will probably take me that long to get everyone out the door!

Changing blog backgrounds and quarters -totally unrelated.

So I decided to get rid of the background I had- only I can't! I never saved an original copy of the minima template (You think I'd learn!), so I just tried to "UN-edit" it. I deleted all the extra code I thought I had added- but it still looked the same. Talk about frustrating. I searched the internet- still no luck. Mostly I don't have the patience for something that I KNOW has got to be easy, but I just can't seem to do it. I ended up hacking into Ryan's blog, saving a copy of the template on my computer and then uploading it! -Still not sure what the difference is between the code in his and the code in mine- but at least I got it now. So now I'm having PLAIN PLAIN background, until I come up with something fabulous and make it myself. (It will never happen!)

As for quarters, I'm trying to find the Washington DC quarters- apparently the mint didn't make too many, so Utah doesn't have any -if they ever did- I'm a little late looking for them. I might just have to buy them from ebay- (16$ for $10 worth of quarters) but amazingly that is cheaper than buying them from the mint! ($19 for $10 worth of quarters). Same with the new lincoln pennies. I'm not sure I want those anyway, and after talking to the girl at the bank yesterday that's probably a good thing. She said Utah has such a huge backlog of pennies that we will NEVER get the new lincoln pennies here.- at least not the first ones. She suggested going to Idaho or something! Hmmm... I have such a collection addicition problem. But I'm not the only one. So for you out-of-staters and people traveling- Can you find me a roll of Washington DC quarters? (It's a sickness, I know.) We -as in Utah- had better still be getting the rolls of dollars!! Ryan humors me in this because: 1. it doesn't cost us much-Usually I just go the bank, give them my $25 bucks and get a roll of 25 $1 coins. (the bank doesn't charge extra like ebay and the mint). 2. He says it's cheaper than psychotherapy. and 3. He thinks it will come in handy if there is an emergency. - Like in Louisianna- Some people had stuff like bottled water to sell- but no change, so if you only had a $20- you paid $20 for a bottle of water. So small bills (or coins) are an important part of your emergency storage supplies. And apparently ours includes my state quarters and presidentials dollars coin collections!

Hello from Hershey PA!

We're here! It's good to see Kellie and Steven. Bennett is a crack up- so far all I've done here is play a mixed version of batman/starwars/superheroes against the bad guys in Bennett's fort- A blanket over the rocking chair! I think Bennett it enjoying someone to play with. Baby Elizabeth is CUTE!

We survived the flight out. But I think I get panic attacks on the plane- that's new for me.As we were landing in LOTS of turbulence I got really hot, and nearly burst into tears. Ryan says it's usually not the turbulent- It always is when I fly! And I still have hives from anxiety about leaving the kids- I woke up with those a couple of days before we left, and they were at their worst the night before we left.- I have the inside of my arms and my face. They are fading on my arm, but I think the ones on my face are getting worse. OH well!!

Jess survived her first day with the kids- barely. The kids are all sick- with colds. The dogs whined all night. Max got lost(she didn't even tell me that! I found out from Mom). No one can sleep- Myles was up til 11, Adria couldn't sleep because of her cold, so Jess put her in bed with her. Then Jess couldn't sleep. SORRY! I hope the next night goes better. (It can't get worse can it? I hope not) Luckily Mom will come stay with her for the next few days.

well, Ryan is back from jogging. Kellie is still gone doing errands. When she gets back we will go to Wilton Armetale (I think I spelled it right now!) and the chocolate factory.

Just saying hi---HI!

Hi- Not much going on here. Except me wasting time!! The big news in our lives- Ryan submitted his book! He submitted it to Shadow Mountain Publishing. It's about half done- but they only want to see a couple of chapters anyway- I hope they like it. If not, I guess he will try another publisher. Keep your fingers crossed!!

We're getting ready for our trip to see Steven and Kellie and Fam. I hope Jessica survives with the kids, without Brad. GOOD LUCK!! But we REALLY appreciate it! I'll bring you some Wilton Armatel - even if I can't spell it right.

I've decided I don't like scrapbooking as much as I like collecting scrapbooking stuff.- Or at least it seems that way- maybe it's because I'm so far behind. and I feel like I must catch up before I can scrapbook the new stuff I want to do! Maybe I'll just skip ahead anyway. Or maybe I'll just do the girls books, and forget the boys- Four kids is too many for doing individual books!! hmm......

I use lots of exclaimation points. We may not get to see the white house on our trip- we didn't request tickets 4 months ago- like we were supposed to. I really want to see the White House. I guess I can always plan another trip another time- right. Keep Dreamin'!

How's this post for stream of consciousness! Dad would be so proud.

TTFN! and HI EVERYONE!

Hello again

So I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. Just busy with other stuff- more important than blogging! The holidays were great- busy as expected. We have new resolutions to exercise more regularly (who doesn't?). The kids are good- growing like weeds! I can't believe I have a son that is almost 10! where did the time go??? I have tons of projects I want to do, and no time to do them. I need more time- or maybe better time management skills. - Oh, well!
